For Helical Bar with Averley Wood

This constrained site on the edge of the Queen Square Conservation Area is prominent from both Prince Street and the City Centre. The strategy adopted an agreed planning framework recognising the sensitive nature of the adjacent two storey Almshouses.


The building maximises the use of the site, takes advantage of excellent views over the City and provides easily adjustable spaces. It fronts a new urban space currently being designed.
