  • We have just been appointed by Bristol City Council as architects and lead consultant to carry out works at the Grade II* Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery.
  • The new office building for the Environment Agency at Deanery Road has just received the the highest BREAAM rating for an office building in the UK. We have been novated to the main contractor and the project is currently on site with completion due in later summer 2010.
  • The new headquarters for Aardman Animations has been awarded the RIBA Town and Country Award for Best Workplace 2009 and the overall Premier Award sponsored by Ibstock.
  • Two Alec French projects won Bristol Civic Society Environmental Awards this year; the Aardman Animations office building and Quakers Friars, part of the new Cabot Circus development
  • 25 Queen Square has been awarded the Giles Worsley Award for best New Building in a Georgian context by the Georgian Group.
  • Following on from our feasibility study for South Gloucestershire Council we are currently at RIBA Stage F for the £4.3M refurbishment of Kingswood Civic Centre. Due on site in July 2010. We have also been appointed to design two new Children's Locality Hubs at Kingswood and Patchway. The project at Patchway includes a new community library.
  • We have been instructed to submit a planning application for a 32 bed residential building at the Kindersley Centre, Lambourn. The target is for the building situation in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to achieve BREEAM Outstanding.
