City Learning Centres 1 & 2
For Bristol City Council
City Learning Centres provide specialist ICT facilities as part
of the Government’s Excellence in Cities Initiative. Bristol’s
first two centres are located on secondary school campuses in
the north and south of the city, serving local schools and communities.
The eye catching low cost buildings, designed and built in just
39 weeks, use a translucent cladding in the main computer areas
to give high levels of natural, glare free, light. The judges
for the Prime Minister’s Award said: “This building
represents the standards we should be aiming for across the
country. Crisp, light, airy and staggering value for money.”
