For the University of the West of England
Alec French Architects developed a 10 year masterplan on this highly sensitive site bordering Ashton Court. The masterplan allows for replacement of existing buildings and the insertion of new buildings around a new central court, reorgananizing circulation and the main entrance.
The first phase was a new studio building providing accommodation for reception, administration, exhibition gallery, studios and seminar rooms. Completed in September 2007, the studio building has allowed students and staff to be decanted from the main teaching block, which has been totally refurbished and was completed in April 2008.
