Kuumba Arts Centre

This well established centre for Afrikan and Caribbean culture
needs a new performance space for 400 people (600 standing)
with associated dance studio, workshop, enlarged library and
a café/restaurant supported by a new high profile front
of house and new offices.
The proposed site contains a derelict Grade 2* listed warehouse
and the proposal refurbishes this and integrates in with new
accommodation to the rear. This use is also designed to act
as a catalyst for the regeneration of a larger site containing
a large, derelict 1960’s office building as part of the
overall regeneration of St Pauls.
